Data Protection

In order to comply with The General Protection Regulation (GDPR), coming into effect on May 25th 2018, I am making it clear how I look after the data I hold about pupils:

The information I hold about pupils* includes email correspondence, registration forms, questionnaires, and notes I make about lessons and courses. This is stored securely on my personal laptop and in my teaching room.

I send out information about Alexander Technique opportunities by email. At any time you can ask me to remove your name from the mailing list.

I use the notes I make after lessons and courses to help me to plan my teaching to address pupils’ individual problems and interests; and also as a means of reflective professional development. I treat this information as confidential, and do not share pupil data with any third party, unless with their consent. I keep records for 8 years after the end of your contact with me. At the end of this period,  documentation will be destroyed.
