A course of Alexander lessons has been found to significantly reduce the incidence of back and neck pain. The most recent trial, funded by Arthritis Research UK, found that this benefit continued after the end of the research, as participants were able to use what they had learned to manage their neck pain more effectively. Improvements were also seen in their mental health.
Alexander Technique – Course
a 4 week course suitable for those who have had some experience of the Alexander Technique, and would like to explore the benefits in more depth.
This course will include individual work with the teacher focusing on your particular needs; developing the skills to use less effort in activity, and move more easily, and time practising ‘semi supine’ / ‘active rest’. 4 participants only.
